My career profile
Patrick’s background is in the retail industry: before entering the coaching profession, he was the Global Head of Supply Chain & Logistics Development for The Body Shop, responsible for a programme of change across 52 countries, and a Trustee of The Body Shop Foundation.
Patrick has an international reputation as a practitioner in Belbin Team Roles, for whom he runs accreditation workshops in the UK, and is a master coach for Belbin North America (3Circle Partners). He is a Visiting Lecturer on Specialist Masters Programmes at Brighton Business School.
I am passionate about coaching because… it brings out the best in the inspiring people I work with; gives them the courage to tackle their toughest challenges; and draws out the resources to help them define and achieve the goals they most want for their organisations, their careers and their lives.
The assignment of which I am most proud … Being a coach on the NBS Partners programme, a global business partnering initiative for Novartis, which was awarded gold at the Learning Technologies Awards 2016. It really challenged my preconceptions about what’s possible when coaching from a distance. What’s more, I got to work with some amazing people all over the world, and to see them change in ways that were really valuable to them and their organisation.
