My career profile
I am a Chartered Psychologist and a widely experienced executive coach and facilitator for clients in leadership positions. I work with a range of clients, from the UK Civil Service to global businesses in financial services, communications, construction and the airport industry. Most of my coaching work is with leaders and executives who want to raise their performance even higher, typically working on managing competing business demands, leadership, career development, work-life balance, and interpersonal processes. As a performance psychologist I have also worked with elite sports performers and coaches in international cricket, England Rugby, and professional golf.I am an associate of Ashridge business school. Prior to pursuing an independent career, I had a successful track record with BAA plc as part of the management team concerning Organisation Development across the BAA group of airports and its subsidiary companies.
I would like everyone to be the best they can be. It is a privilege to helpa person or team reach their full potential, through genuine support and meaningful challenges and to assist their understanding of how to use and leverage their strengths and develop weaker areas to achieve their personal and career aspirations.
The assignment of which I am most proud is a client who was considering her next career move and wanted coaching to help her evaluate her choices. I worked with her to establish what it would take to achieve her dream job and how she could communicate this to key stakeholders. She decided to put herself forward despite personal doubts and to her surprise, but not mine, was invited to a board interview.She used our sessions to prepare and practice, as well as gain confidence and pride in her personal impact. Having been offered the appointment she used the remaining coaching time to explore her leadership style, and think through what she wanted to achieve in her first year. Three years on she is now recognized throughout her organization as a key influencer on the Board, has made a massive impact on the structure of the organization to make it a happier and more productive place to work.
