My career profile
My experience was gained over fifteen years as an Executive Director in a large, successful NHS Foundation Trust, and I developed skills and expertise in coaching, consultation and service improvement based upon achieving the highest quality standards, objectivity and emotional intelligence.
Since 1999 I have delivered the National Ward Manager/Team Leader programme and further developed the Aspiring and Emerging Healthcare Leaders programmes developing Healthcare Directors for the future. I have successfully coached and supported numerous individuals to Executive Director roles.I believe that investing in the personal leadership growth of individuals at all levels across health, education, and charitable providers ensures a strong legacy for the future.
I am passionate about working with individuals and teams to enable insight, personal development and mutual understanding and appreciation whilst developing confidence and inner resilience to work in the complex and every changing public service environment.
I am a Non-Executive Director of a NHS Foundation Trust, an Independent Governor at London South Bank University, and a trustee with Dementia UK. I was awarded the Commander of the British Empire for services to Nursing in 2012 and am a Visiting Professor at London South Bank University, and Bucks New University.
