Hope you all had a wonderful festive period and I wish you every happiness and success for 2018.
For many New Year means new beginnings. Many of you will have made New Years resolutions and some of you may already be finding them hard to keep.
As humans we generally are great at visualising a better future but are then unrealistic about the pace and time required to achieve those outcomes. Coaching can be a good way of sharing your hopes and dreams with someone who can work with you to understand at a deeper level what you want to change and why. They will support your path to achieving those outcomes and help you pace your journey at a pace that is just right for you. All the team are qualified coaches and available to support you on your journey, do get in touch if you would like an exploratory conversation as to how coaching could work best for you.
There are many books about change at a deeper level rather than quick fixes. One of my favourites and also highly readable is The Solutions Focus by Jackson and McKergow.
A good start to thinking about what do you really want and how will you get there. A bonus is that it works equally well with teams. Try it for yourself and maybe then think about using the framework to add greater energy and clarity to your strategic planning.
As an organisation we have started off the New Year with some new assignments that are getting us involved with Secondary Education, cross sectoral leadership programmes, pan Whitehall initiatives and more overseas assignments. Many of you are signing up for a timely career MOT. In my December blog I mentioned the 100 year life an increasingly likely lifespan for us and younger generations. What are you planning to make the most and thrive with your additional time?
All the best
